Julie Bridgman has been with the Vita team for over 6 years. Her love for fitness, health and people guided her to choose massage therapy for her career. Her academic background in fitness and lifestyle, personal training, physiotherapy and massage therapy allows her to deal with patient’s total wellness. She is a graduate of Sutherland-Chan here in Toronto.

Julie’s work experience ranges from spas, rehab clinics and chiropractic clinics. She also gained 10 months volunteering experience at the University of West Indies, Jamaica in the out-patient physiotherapy department.

Her treatments deal with neck and shoulder injuries, postural issues relating to corporate workers, sports massage, sports injuries, deep tissue and stretching programs.

Julie is certified in Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) and Therapeutic Hot Stone. She believes in custom massage and continually strives for a unique experience.

Her effective communication, easy rapport and a strong intuitive touch are some of her strengths. In her spare time she enjoys tennis, running and film-making.

Geo-Hydrotherapy (Hot Stone Massage)

Hot Stone Massage is classified as geo-hydrotherapy (geo-stone, hydrotherapy-water therapy). The technique combines massage with the use of heated and cooled stones over the entire body. Basalt lave stones are used do to their mineralogy and density. They are capable of retaining and conducting temperatures, either hot or cold.

Hot stone massage focuses on the aspect of ultra relaxation and specific treatments on a completely deeper level.
